BEI Construction is entering an exciting new chapter with key leadership transitions that will shape the company’s future. Dominic DiMare has been named CEO, bringing over 30 years of industry experience and a deep commitment to growing BEI’s impact on renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure projects. Having spent 22 years with BEI, he has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s success, leading teams that have completed over 1.8 GW of solar installations in California and beyond.
DiMare has built strong relationships across the industry, from clients and vendors to union workers and project partners. His expertise spans solar, wind, battery storage systems, substations, EV charging, and microgrid projects, positioning BEI as a leader in the renewable energy space. A longtime union member and leader, he understands how to rapidly scale skilled teams to meet the demands of the company’s expanding portfolio.
We sat down with Dominic to hear more about his journey, his vision for BEI, and what’s next for the company.
What has kept you at BEI for more than two decades?
Dominic: It’s the people and the opportunities. BEI has always valued craftsmanship, innovation, and a strong work ethic. I started as an IBEW electrician and worked my way up, learning from some of the best in the business. The company has grown tremendously, but our core values have stayed the same—we take on challenging projects, deliver quality work, and build lasting relationships.
How do you see BEI’s role in the renewable energy industry evolving?
Dominic: The demand for large-scale energy solutions is growing fast, and BEI is positioned to lead. We’ve already been involved in over 2.4GW of battery storage, solar, substation, wind, and EV charging projects. Our focus is on scaling up nationally while maintaining the level of execution and expertise our clients expect. The industry is evolving rapidly, and we’re making sure BEI stays ahead by investing in our workforce, technology, and project capabilities.
What are your priorities as CEO?
Dominic: First and foremost, continuing to support our teams in the field. BEI’s strength comes from our people, and ensuring they have the resources, training, and support they need will be key to maintaining our high standards of execution. Other priorities include expanding our capabilities through technology and strengthening operational efficiencies so we can take on even larger, more complex projects. As we scale nationally, my focus will be on maintaining the quality, safety, and innovation that define BEI while continuing to build strong partnerships across the industry.
What excites you most about this next chapter for BEI?
Dominic: The opportunity to grow while staying true to what makes BEI unique. We have a strong foundation, an incredible team, and a reputation for delivering high-quality work. I’m excited to build on that and take BEI to the next level.
BEI Construction’s leadership team is set to drive innovation and expansion in the years ahead, ensuring the company remains a trusted partner in the renewable energy and infrastructure space.
