Project Nexus – Phase 1 | Turlock, CA and Phase 2 | Hickman, CA

Distributed Generation/ Solar over canal

Project Nexus is a first-of-its-kind solar-over-canal pilot providing more than 1.6 MW of renewable generation across two sites within the Turlock Irrigation District. As the electrical contractor for the wide-span phase, BEI installed photovoltaic electrical infrastructure above an active irrigation canal while canal operations continued throughout construction. The work required specialized installation methods, careful sequencing, and close coordination with the structural steel installation.

2.125 MW rooftop solar system for the Graton Casino. BEI installed MV gear, inverters, conduit, wiring, racking, and set 4,722 450-Watt modules.
