1 Million Safe Work Hours and Counting

BEI Construction has surpassed 1 million work hours without a recordable incident, a milestone that reflects the commitment and attention to safety demonstrated by our teams every day.

In construction, conditions are constantly changing. Crews work around heavy equipment, evolving jobsite conditions, tight schedules, and complex scopes. Reaching one million safe work hours requires more than policies and procedures. It requires people making the right decisions, looking out for one another, and staying focused on the task at hand.

Building Safety Into Every Project

At BEI, safety starts before work begins. Planning, training, communication, and accountability are built into every phase of a project. Daily coordination, hazard assessments, ongoing education, and active field leadership help ensure our teams have the tools and support they need to work safely.

This milestone was not achieved on a single project or by a single team. It is the result of consistent effort across job sites, offices, and project teams throughout the company.

Team Achievement

One million safe work hours represents the collective effort of our craft professionals, foremen, project managers, safety team, and support staff. Every employee has played a role in creating and maintaining a culture where safety remains a shared responsibility.

“Safety is not something that belongs only to the safety department,” said Mitch Royal, Safety Manager at BEI Construction. “This milestone reflects the commitment of every person in the company. It comes from employees who take the time to plan their work, watch out for their coworkers, speak up when they see a concern, and make safe choices every day.”

The milestone also reflects BEI’s continued focus on building a culture where employees feel empowered to identify hazards, ask questions, and stop work when something doesn’t look right.

More Than a Number

While one million safe work hours is an important accomplishment, the significance goes beyond the number itself.

Each hour represents work completed safely, employees returning home to their families, and teams committed to protecting one another while delivering projects for our clients.

As BEI continues to grow across renewable energy, technology infrastructure, civil construction, and electrical contracting, that commitment remains unchanged. Safety will continue to be a core part of how we plan, build, and work together every day.
